Switching GLP-1 providers: bring your progress with you

A better fit might mean clearer pricing, easier communication or a different care arrangement. A provider change should start with the treatment you are actually taking.

Can I switch to AnthologyRX if I already take a GLP-1?

You can request an assessment and share your current treatment history. An independent licensed clinician evaluates your needs and whether an AnthologyRX treatment is appropriate. An existing prescription is useful history; it does not guarantee approval, the same formulation or continuation at the same dose.

Changing providers and changing medications are separate decisions. Moving between semaglutide and tirzepatide, or between an injection and an oral preparation, requires a new clinical plan. We offer compounded care and do not dispense branded Wegovy or Zepbound through these plans.

Have these details ready for your assessment

  • Your actual prescription label. The medication and added ingredients, concentration, directions, dispensing pharmacy and date matter more than a familiar product nickname.
  • Your last dose and any gaps. Include when you last took the medication, the prescribed amount and any doses missed.
  • Your experience so far. Describe your progress, appetite, tolerability and the reason you want to change providers.
  • Your other medications and health changes. Include supplements, new diagnoses, pregnancy plans and upcoming procedures.
  • Your current subscription timing. Note the next charge and how much medication remains, so you can discuss continuity without overlapping orders.

Share medical details through the clinical assessment or patient portal. Billing support can explain charges and account steps; the prescribing clinician decides the treatment plan.

Will I have to start at the beginning?

There is no universal answer. Your clinician needs the preparation, prior dose, treatment gaps, response and side effects to decide what happens next. Do not use a provider change as a reason to restart, escalate or combine medications on your own. Approved-product labels contain product-specific rules about missed doses and concurrent treatment; those rules are not a conversion chart for a compounded product. Why the vial label matters when you change pharmacies

Different concentrations can deliver different amounts of medication in the same volume. A syringe marking from your old prescription may not apply to a new vial. FDA has reported errors involving compounded semaglutide concentrations and dose measurement. Ask the clinician or dispensing pharmacist to explain the new label and syringe before using it; do not calculate a conversion from a social-media chart. FDA’s dosing guidance.

What will I pay after switching?

Our GLP-1 cost guide shows monthly charges, quarterly payments and longer-term totals from the current catalogue. Clinical review, prescribed medication, pharmacy fulfillment, shipping and care-team messaging are included. A first-order promotion does not change the standard renewal price. Your old provider’s cancellation and refund policy remains separate from ours.

Can I transfer because I want a different formulation?

You can discuss that goal, but format preference alone does not establish that a compounded preparation is medically appropriate. Oral dissolving tablets, approved swallowed tablets and injections are not interchangeable. Share what is driving the request with the clinician, then compare the evidence and practical requirements of the options available to you.

Make the next step a clear one

Start with the facts of your current treatment and the change you want to make. AnthologyRX’s clinical assessment gives the prescribing clinician a basis for that conversation. See the treatment details, full price and dispensing pharmacy before you begin.
